CHANGE
And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy
thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a
watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isaiah 58:11
Every day of
our lives brings circumstances that require us to adapt, to change.
As long as we hold on to our faith in God, we understand that He will
direct our path, and there is no need for fear. Beyond faith and
trust in a higher power, we can control our reaction to change by our
attitude toward it.
It is helpful
to think of change as a process of growth. When we accept a new job,
when we decide to pursue a lifelong dream, we embrace change.
Here is a way to make change an integral part of our
lives. Accept and embrace learning as a daily occurrence. If
you encounter a new idea, investigate it instead of immediately putting it
down. Although you may still have issues with the idea, at least your
research will permit you to learn more about how it evolved.
Every situation, bad and good, is a learning
opportunity. The more you know, the less intimidated you will be by
change.
